TheAuss 2nd Installment : Sydney - Home

On the 5th day, we waved goodbye Melb and headed to the avalon airport. for sydney.

domestic flight, my first.
love taking flights, not so love the wait.
ready jet set... go.

so earrrrrly in the morning, i was still suffering from water retention.

up we go and in about an hours time... which i spent sleeping all da way in the flight..
we found ourselves in syd. like already!

It's kinda lame. i really mean the itinery. lol. sydney's wildlife park and aquarium. umm. Nonetheless, everyone tried to make the best outta it. outta the animals, as you can seeeeee
actually the first stop was about bugs. i was so grossed out and busy running away that i forgot to take any pictures of those gigantic ants and praying mantis. eww. i'm really really afraid of bugs.
reptiles aint half as scary as bugs.



yes after reptiles, the birds. haha. very beautiful birds. they dun look half as pretty on camera so i didnt bother.
then a mini night safari equivalent.
of course, the kangaroos.

that day, 33 degrees. crazily hot. good thing i had sun screen all day in my bag.

i was seriously attracted to this piece of information. telling an aligator and a croc apart. know how? You tell by the way their teeth and how much of it is exposed when they close their jaws. From what was on that board, it says that the croc reveals both upper and lower rows of teeth but the allig only shows the lower.

hope you, like me, learnt something new today. lol. although im quite sure you wouldnt have the nerve to stand and observe the reptile that closely if you do come across one someday. hahaha. running and screaming for help's more effective, no?

the shark's huge. and they have piercing eyes that seem to look through you. I was quite freaked out cus when they looked at me, they seem to say : 'im gonna bang that glass shit open and eat you up, lady.' brrrrrr.
now, is this a croc or an allig?
nice gums, mr Shark. who's your dentist?

the bridge we all ooh and aaah-ed over.

they have such pretty birds everywhere. and we only have crows and pigeons.
pls, no more telling me that we are sisters. i have heard enuff. and that is not MY son, its HER son. and I AM HER daughter. thankyouverymuch.

did you guys notice at all? my shirt says 'HOT' in normal times but when i stand infront of da mirror, it becomes 'love'. i never thought anyone would notice without me telling, but there was this 7-11 guy who kept staring at my shirt while scanning my purchases. aafter, he smiled and said 'hey know what, your shirt, if you reflect the words, it says love!'

'ya right! very smart. seriously are you a mirror?' i said. lols. and we both laughed.


haha-ha-ha they brought us to the fish market. to look at seafood. nothing but seafood. sigh.

the place's beautiful though. i count that as compensation for the fishiness i had to smell.
later 2 hrs ride, we came to.......

yeah right. its $35 aud, you throw you die louis. dad will kick you.
i love this ride. its a really safe 'rollercoaster' lol. cus its so steep. in fact , the steepest in the world. goes into 52degrees. formally used by the miners. now, to make money from tourists like us.

its a little scary when you look down. cus its really high up. and im not sucha fan of heights. but the view was so pretty i insisted (to myself) on staying on that piece of see thru.

back at the hotel, as usual, louis quickly jumps into bed and punches his psp. i got so bored.

so i tried to 'squash' his stupid gaming addicted face.

unbelieveable. he didnt even once look up.

ooh i love my new slippers. im really starting to like purple i realise. exclude barney thepurple dinosaur. not my stufff thank you.

our last day. before flight back home. had some time so me and louis went around the hotel's proximity.

then. on SQ 234. for home @ 6.35pm syd time. that day, the first day of daylight saving.

much as i wish to stay on, when i saw sg grounds, glittering under the craft, my home, i smiled. somehow this well lit piece of land still makes me smile. its home afterall.
