My first driving lesson

totally went smoother than i expected. My appointment was 2.30 but i was an hour late because of the inefficiency or should i say over-staffed situation at the CDC when i went to collect my probational driving license. was there at 11am and can you believe it only got to be my turn at 3.15pm. mum drove me there but i had to take a cab back to sk cus she had to go first to fetch sherman from school.

Finally the PDL, and in a cab, outside pouring cats and dogs. i silently pray it would stop so it wouldnt affect my lesson. =) and it did.

The instructor's one nice old man, who initially collected fees, checked my ID blabla and started the lesson officially with: 'ok, i teach you step by step slowly from using first gear then when you are familiar then gear 2 ....gear 4. ok? maybe today gear 1 and 2 and for a few days then gear 3 and 4 and then you can drive out of sengkang'

i was like 'what?! its my first lesson!!!!!! so scarrrrrryyyyy'

lol. and today i learnt the 4 gears and drove to punggol and back to sengkang and even down at my house. cool stuff.

i told him that my dad totally thinks i will only pass my driving test after many many attempts. But he boosted my confidence with : 'you ah? NO LA, you once can already, like eileen.'

=) i'm sure! cus me and ling are born on the same day and we are bestfriends, i told him. he just nodded and, 'now, change to the 4th gear....' i'm gonna have lessons again tmr morn at 9am. super intensive training.

HEY DAD, I WILL GET MY LICENSE FASTER THAN YOU THINK. AND YOU BETTER BUY ME THAT THAT THAT CAR. (umm i haven decided yet but yeah, THAT car)
